After a brief stint on the Boston club circuit, under the guidance of their manager of the first time, Frank Connelly, the band began to work together with New York managers Steve Leber and David Krebs. In 1972 they signed a recording agreement and debuted their first album. The album was followed in 1973 by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. and Draw the Line. These albums have helped Aerosmith become famous internationally. These albums yielded legendary hits such as "Dream on", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's first five albums went multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. As the decade went by however, the band's busy schedule of performing, recording and living together started to wear the band down. Because of their famed use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music has many videos that show their friendship. Tyler was more devoted to Aerosmith, and was displeased with Perry for his passive attitude. Perry was also jealous of his priority of women in his life. The conflict between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was a leading factor in the gradual decay of Aerosmith, circa 1980.
